Experiences of Changing the Perception of Female Alcoholics in Psychodrama Groups
Shin Kyung-Ae

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to look at how female alcoholics who participated in the psychodrama group experienced the process of ¡®recognition,¡¯ a sub-factor of the change. Participants in the study are women in their 20s and 60s who are hospitalized in the women's ward at an alcohol clinic in Gyeonggi Province and have been diagnosed with alcoholism. The total number of participants was nine, and from September to November 2015, a total of eight sessions were conducted for 120 minutes per week, and data analysis was utilized by Colaizzi (1978). Research has shown that four subcategories, ¡®Flooding¡¯, ¡®body getting messed up¡¯, ¡®My presence getting smaller¡¯ and ¡®family's roll are painful¡¯ according to the experience of ¡®recognition,¡¯ a sub-category of motivation. This showed that psychodrama is a meaningful intervention tool for empirically insight into changes in ¡®recognition¡¯ that play a critical role in early treatment and rehabilitation of female alcoholics.
